SEO Company for Dublin Businesses: Google + AI Visibility

AISEO USA is a US-based SEO company that Dublin businesses hire remotely to win Google and AI search. We get Irish companies ranking on Google and named inside ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews — from the city centre and the IFSC to Grand Canal Dock, Sandyford, Ballsbridge, Dún Laoghaire and the commuter belt. Delivered remotely, in Irish English, with no local-office markup built into the retainer.

Dublin is a strange market to compete in: a small capital carrying an outsized share of Ireland's businesses, agencies and venture-backed competitors, where a handful of categories are brutally contested and a great many others are quietly wide open. Google still decides most of who gets found here — it holds well above nine in ten Irish searches — but a fast-growing share of Irish buyers now ask an AI assistant for a shortlist before they scroll a single blue link. Winning in 2026 means holding both surfaces at once, and most providers in this market still only sell the first. This page sets out how we deliver both, remotely, and reflects the methodology of Thomas, Founder of AISEO USA, who has 16 years of experience in digital marketing.

When a Dublin buyer asks ChatGPT for a recommendation

Try it with a query that matters to you: an employment solicitor in Dublin 2, a managed IT provider for a Sandyford office, a physiotherapist in Ranelagh, a commercial fit-out firm for a Grand Canal Dock refurbishment. The assistant will not return ten options. It names three or four organisations, sometimes with a one-line reason, and stops. Everyone else in the category is simply absent from that conversation — regardless of where they sit in the organic results.

What earns a place in a generated answer is rarely brand size or ad budget. It is machine readability: a site whose entity signals, service pages and schema let a language model establish exactly what the organisation does, where it operates, and why it is credible. A single-office practice in Rathmines with precise pages and genuine reviews routinely gets named where a larger competitor hiding behind a brochure homepage never comes up. In a market where a great many Irish firms trade under a name that differs from their CRO-registered one, with no page connecting the two, that clarity is scarcer than it should be — and it is exactly the gap we work.

You should not take any agency's word for which businesses the engines currently favour in your category. Our free AI visibility audit records, with dated screenshots, what ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Overviews actually say today about you and three Dublin competitors you nominate. Nearly every "best SEO agency Dublin" headline in this market is evidence-free; we would rather show you the receipts, which is the whole point of our Relevance Engine methodology.

  • The name: engines shortlist 2–4 businesses. Position 8 doesn't exist here.
  • The reasons: pulled from reviews, structured data and plain answer-first pages.
  • The citation: the source the engine trusted. Our whole job is making that yours.

The Silicon Docks paradox

Ireland holds an odd distinction in AI search: the companies building the engines run Europe from Dublin, while most Irish businesses are invisible inside those engines' answers.

OpenAI made Dublin its European headquarters in 2023, and Anthropic followed in 2024, choosing Dublin as its Europe, Middle East and Africa base (The Irish Times); by late 2025 both were hunting larger Dublin offices to expand European operations (Silicon Republic). They joined Google, Meta and LinkedIn, whose European headquarters already anchor the Grand Canal Dock cluster the city calls Silicon Docks. Irish consumers, meanwhile, have adopted the products faster than almost anyone: 48.4% of Ireland's working-age population used a generative-AI product in Q1 2026 — a global top-five figure (Microsoft AI Diffusion Report coverage; the report itself puts the global average at 17.8%).

So the demand side is already solved: nearly half the country is asking AI engines questions, many of them commercial. The supply side is the gap. Ask ChatGPT for a recommendation in most Dublin SME categories and it reaches for whatever thin evidence exists — a stale directory, a UK competitor with better content, or nothing at all. That gap is the opportunity, and outside a handful of contested Dublin categories it is still wide open.

03

There is no google.ie to target any more

Two facts frame the Google side of a Dublin campaign. First, Google carries 94.09% of Irish search traffic (StatCounter, June 2026) — whatever Google's AI layer says about your category, effectively all of Ireland sees it. Second, google.ie is no longer a separate destination: Google began retiring country-code domains in April 2025, redirecting them to google.com, because results have been localised by the searcher's location rather than the domain they typed since 2017.

The practical consequence is that "ranking on google.ie" is not a thing you can target directly. Google decides you are an Irish result from your entity signals — Irish address and phone conventions, Eircode, Irish-relevant content, Irish reviews and citations. AI Overviews then inherit that same locality judgement, so the answer a searcher in Dublin 8 sees is assembled from what Google already believes about Irish entities. The chat engines localise differently again: ChatGPT and Perplexity infer geography from the conversation and from their sources, which is why the Irish third-party citations below do so much of the work.

04

The Dublin query surface, by intent

Dublin concentrates the most contested slice of the Irish economy — professional services, financial services, technology, property, hospitality and a dense domestic trades sector. When forty solicitors, sixty accountants or eighty tradespeople compete across a few postal districts, both Google and the AI engines have to choose whom to surface. The table shows how the winning surface shifts by query type, and why a one-size campaign loses here.

Dublin query Dominant intent Where it's won today What it takes to win
"seo company dublin" Commercial, high competition Organic + AI Overview Entity clarity, depth, real proof, reviews
"seo services dublin" Commercial research Organic + AI Overview Service-page specificity, internal linking
"employment solicitor Dublin" High-value professional Organic + AI answer E-E-A-T, named experts, authority content
"accountant Dublin 2" High-value B2B Organic + AI answer Entity signals, credentials, reviews
"managed IT services Dublin" B2B research Organic + AI answer Category authority, press, AI citations
"physio Ranelagh" Local, considered Map Pack + AI answer Google Business Profile, reviews, area pages
"emergency plumber Dublin" Local, ready-to-hire Map Pack + AI answer Profile completeness, review velocity
"commercial fit out Dublin" High-value B2B Organic + AI answer Portfolio depth, authority, digital PR

Two things fall out of it. First, the Google Map Pack and AI answers dominate the highest-intent local queries, so map-pack execution and AI citations are not separate projects — they draw on the same signals. Second, the district matters: a Dublin 2 professional-services query, a Dún Laoghaire local query and a Swords trades query are three different contests answered by three different pages. We map every target query to its winning surface, and its area, before writing a word.

05

Entity signals: making an Irish business resolvable

AI engines cite businesses they can resolve to one unambiguous identity, corroborated in independent places. Ireland hands you two assets most markets lack.

The CRO record. Every Irish company carries a Companies Registration Office number, and registry-derived listings republish those official details across the web. When your site, your schema and your Google Business Profile all match your CRO-registered identity, a model sees the same facts on your domain, in a state-derived record and in Google's index — and you become a safe answer to give. The classic failure is the trading-name split: registered as one entity, trading as another, with nothing connecting them. Reconcile it explicitly on your About page and in Organization schema (legalName against name, plus sameAs pointing at your real profiles).

The .ie domain. Unlike .com, a .ie registration is checked — every applicant must prove a real connection to Ireland before the registry grants the name (.IE Registry). That verification makes .ie a genuine trust cue for Irish users and for engines weighing whether a business is authentically Irish, even though it is not a ranking mechanism in itself. If you serve Ireland from a .com, compensate with heavier corroboration elsewhere.

Then the universal layer: identical name, address and phone everywhere, Eircode included; complete Organization schema; and a named, findable principal. A real person with a LinkedIn profile linked from the site consistently outperforms an anonymous brand in Ireland's trust-heavy categories — legal, financial advice, healthcare and construction.

06

The Irish sources AI engines actually cite

When an engine answers a "best X in Dublin" question, it paraphrases high-authority third-party pages. Ireland's citation stack is compact enough to name outright:

National press — RTÉ, The Irish Times, Irish Independent, Irish Examiner, TheJournal.ie. Hard to earn, heavily weighted, and one genuine mention compounds for years.
Business and technology press — Silicon Republic and the Business Post, disproportionately influential for B2B, SaaS and professional-services answers.
Communities — boards.ie above all. Two decades of Irish consumers recommending solicitors, tradespeople and shops to one another is precisely the authentic consensus generative engines mine. Being genuinely and positively discussed there matters more than most link building.
Directories and reviews — Google reviews first, alongside established Irish directories such as Golden Pages. Volume, recency and detail shape how confidently an engine recommends you.
Regional titles — for businesses anchored outside the capital, the regional press corroborates locality in a way national coverage cannot.

Our first 90 days on a Dublin engagement

Scope is set by your sector and your districts, but the sequence rarely changes. We front-load the work that moves fastest while the compounding work builds underneath.

Weeks 1–2 — dated baseline. What Google returns for your money queries, what the four AI engines say about you and three named competitors, and where your entity is broken. Screenshots and dates, so nothing later is arguable.
Weeks 2–4 — entity and technical. CRO-name reconciliation, Organization and LocalBusiness schema, Eircode and NAP consistency, crawler access for Googlebot, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended, Core Web Vitals, indexation.
Weeks 3–6 — Google Business Profile and reviews. Categories, service areas, photos, posts and Q&A, plus a compliant review cadence — the single fastest lever on Dublin map-pack visibility.
Weeks 4–10 — answer-first content. Service and district pages that lead with the answer a Dublin searcher actually wants, structured so a model can lift a clean passage.
Weeks 8–12 — corroboration. Earning mentions from the Irish sources listed above, because off-site evidence is what turns a well-built site into a named recommendation.
Throughout — measurement. Rankings, map-pack grid, AI citations per engine and booked enquiries, reported monthly.

SEO services Dublin businesses can scope with us

The programme is one campaign, but it is scoped from the same service set as everything else we run: AI SEO services for the generated-answer layer, SEO services for the classic index, local SEO services for the map pack and district queries, generative engine optimisation and answer engine optimisation for citations and direct-answer surfaces, and Google Business Profile optimisation where local intent decides the enquiry. Which of those carries the weight depends entirely on where your buyers actually decide, which is what the baseline is for.

09

What SEO costs in Dublin

We do not publish our own rates, and we would rather say that plainly than dress it up. For honest third-party context: Irish quotes span a wide range, and Dublin sits at the top of it — the capital concentrates the most competitors per category, so realistic small-business campaigns here tend to start in the middle of the Irish band rather than at its floor, as our research on what SEO costs in Ireland sets out in euro. Remember that Irish VAT at the 23% standard rate applies on top of any domestic quote. As a global benchmark, Ahrefs' survey of 439 SEO professionals found the most common monthly retainer worldwide is US$501–US$1,000, with the average agency retainer around US$3,209 per month. Because we serve Dublin remotely, none of your budget funds a Dublin 2 address — and if a smaller scope fits your stage, we will tell you before you spend.

10

How long does SEO take in Dublin?

It depends on the category, and Dublin's money categories are genuinely competitive — but the AI surface moves faster than the classic one. Expect early answer-engine citations within two to six weeks, because generated answers refresh quickly and reward structure, while meaningful Google movement in contested Dublin niches usually takes four to six months. We sequence deliberately for that: profile, schema and answer blocks first for early wins, with content and authority compounding underneath, reported monthly so you always know which surface actually moved.

11

A US agency for a Dublin business — the honest version

We will not claim an Irish presence we do not have: no Dublin office, no Irish landline, no invented address, and no fabricated local citations. AISEO USA works with Irish organisations remotely, which is how the discipline actually functions — the work happens inside Google's index and the language models, both fully measurable from anywhere. The five-hour offset between Dublin and the US East Coast is operationally trivial: SEO is asynchronous by nature, deliverables land overnight, and strategy calls sit comfortably in the Dublin afternoon. One candid caveat, the same one we give every international client: our domain signals "USA," which tempers how quickly anyone should expect us to displace entrenched Irish brands on the most contested head terms. So we deliberately weight the specific, high-intent and AI-answer queries where structure wins fastest. Judge us the way you should judge any provider — on a dated baseline and monthly movement, starting with the free AI visibility audit, and reach us any time through our contact page.

Questions, answered

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a US agency really do SEO for a Dublin business?

Yes, and remote delivery is standard practice in SEO rather than a compromise. Rankings and AI citations are built inside Google's index and the language models, which we audit, influence and measure from the US exactly as an Irish firm would. We research your districts and competitors against live Irish results, write in Irish English, and handle the time difference asynchronously with calls in the Dublin afternoon.

Do you have an office in Dublin?

No, and we will not pretend otherwise. We have no Dublin office, no Irish phone number and no Irish address, and we do not build fake local citations to imply one. What you get instead is a team measuring your actual Irish visibility every week without a local-office markup in the retainer.

Does a .ie domain help my rankings?

Not as a ranking mechanism, but it is a real trust signal. Because the .IE registry verifies a genuine Irish connection before granting a name, a .ie domain corroborates that a business is authentically Irish — which matters to Irish users and to engines weighing locality. If you serve Ireland on a .com, you can still win; you simply need heavier corroboration from Irish citations, reviews and content.

How do I rank on google.ie?

You no longer target google.ie directly — Google began retiring country-code domains in April 2025, and results have been localised by the searcher's location rather than the domain since 2017. What decides whether you appear as an Irish result is your entity: Irish address and phone conventions, Eircode, Irish-relevant content, and Irish reviews and citations.

Which Dublin areas should my pages target?

The districts your customers actually come from. For a local service business that usually means genuine pages for the areas you cover — the city centre, Rathmines and Ranelagh, Ballsbridge, Dún Laoghaire and Blackrock, Sandyford and Dundrum, Swords, Tallaght or Blanchardstown — rather than one page claiming all of Dublin. Each behaves as its own contest, and thin templated district pages are the pattern Google's scaled-content policy names.

What does my CRO registration have to do with SEO?

More than most Irish businesses expect. Your CRO record is an official, independently published statement of who you are, and registry-derived listings republish it widely. When your website, schema and Google Business Profile all match it, engines and AI models can resolve you to one verifiable identity. When your trading name and registered name differ with nothing connecting them, they often cannot — and an unresolvable business is an unsafe one to recommend.

How do I get my Dublin business cited by ChatGPT?

Make yourself easy to verify and easy to quote. That means crawler access for the AI user agents, an unambiguous entity, answer-first content that resolves real questions in clean extractable passages, genuine reviews, and mentions in the Irish sources these engines lean on — national and technology press, boards.ie, established directories. Then measure it per engine rather than assuming, which is what the audit does.
