Nothing else on this page matters if a crawler can't reach the content. Crawlability is whether a bot can find and fetch your pages; indexation is whether the engine then stores them as eligible to appear in results. Both fail silently, which is why they top every technical SEO audit we run.

The common failure points are unglamorous and everywhere: a robots.txt line blocking a directory nobody meant to hide, noindex tags left over from a staging site, canonical tags pointing the wrong way, orphan pages with no internal links, broken redirect chains, and important content locked behind JavaScript that only some crawlers render.
